Hi there! My name is Stacey and I am just your average 20-something grad student living out my dreams in one of the greatest cities in the world: Boston. Although I’ve only been here for a little over 1.5 years, I truly believe I have experienced more here in Boston than in the past 20-ish years in New Jersey (yep, I’m a Jersey girl). It’s slowly shaped me into a better, stronger, more confident person and I can’t wait to see what else I will be able to do and accomplish here.
I started this blog to document my journey of trying to balance school and life. I fully believe in living your life out to the fullest each and every day, but school likes to get in the way sometimes. I have consistently worked out for about a year now and am continuously growing in my fitness and health levels and I hope to share my experiences with you.
I am also a huge foodie who will eat and try just about anything and everything (trust me, the things I have eaten will probably give you goosebumps!). Food is also my biggest struggle, as I was habitually taught to clean my plate, so my issue is the proportion and quantity of food I regularly ingest. I’ve been eating a lot cleaner and cooking my own food more often for the past month or so and it’s really made quite a difference, but the demands of school also make it difficult to not grab Chinese food take-out on a busy day on a weekly basis. I actually don’t have much of a sweet tooth, but I love my fries and potato chips! (Keep those AWAY from me!) So I will be sharing my attempts to eat clean yet still enjoy some good eats every now and then.
So to sum it all up, this blog is dedicated to my fitness journey (sweat), food and other life’s pleasures (savor), and my pursuit of a dental degree (smile).
